ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Designed by D.E. Gagliardini, AXIS was born from the search for the essence of the form of the contemporary sofa. Its clean lines, precise, horizontal proportions and volumes a16> restrained create a piece of strong architectural character a23> architectural where comfort and functionality coexist in a natural way.
The most distinctive feature of the collection is the reclining mechanism of its arms, designed to adjust the position of use and provide a more flexible and relaxed experience. This mechanism transforms the sofa both visually and functionally, allowing everything from a posture that is more structured to arrangements more open and relaxed.
The generous cushions for the backrest and armrests, together with the use of microgel and siliconised fibres, create a feeling that is particularly comfortable and enveloping without sacrificing visual lightness. AXIS is designed both for spaces residential contemporary and for hospitality projects where design and comfort must coexist in harmony.

Design
Sofa contemporary with clean lines and a horizontal silhouette, designed to convey visual lightness and formal precision. The reclining armrest introduces dynamism and versatility within a sober and architectural aesthetic. a16> a sober and architectural aesthetic.
Comfort
The combination of HR foam, microgel and silicone-coated fibres provides a soft and adaptable seating experience. The pillows with removable covers and the backrest soft provide a particularly cosy experience.
Applications
Ideal for contemporary homes, hotels, suites, lounge areas and contract projects where a comfortable piece with visual character and advanced functional solutions is required.

Materials
1. Structure
Frame made of solid wood with metal reinforcements upholstered with foam HR of 30 kg/m³. Suspension by means of elastic straps with a 10-year quality a16> quality for 10 years.
2. Seat
Seat made from HRD foam with a density of 30 kg/m³ combined with hollow fibre a8> siliconised Microgel and inner cover made of cotton to separate materials. Adhesives water-based water without solvents derived from petroleum.
3. Backrest and armrests
Pillows for the back made from microfibre with a down-like feel Microgel. Armrests made from hollow siliconised fibre and filled with particles of polyurethane. Pillows fully removable covers.
4. Base
Legs metal P-55, P-103 and P-115. Option for leg P-74 in solid ash wood.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Solid wood construction: clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or aggressive chemicals.
Upholstery: for technical fabrics and removable covers, machine wash at 30°C. For natural or special fabrics, professional cleaning is recommended. More details on the following link.
Cushions: turn, hollow out and smooth regularly to maintain the original volume and shape.
Avoid direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight to preserve colours and textures.

Darío Gagliardini
Designer
Dario Gagliardini, born in Milan. PhD in architecture from the Polytechnic University of the same city. Registered architect, a position that allows him to experience some significant projects for the hotel company CIGA and Catterpillar Italia. He is dedicated to designing products and their communication as a visual designer and art director, expanding his contribution to some companies as a design manager. At the same time, as a journalist, he collaborates as a graphic designer and art director with prestigious design and architecture magazines such as Ottagono and all those published by Design Diffusion Edizioni (ddn, Ofx, Design Management, Casa D, etc.).
In addition to being the cultural director of the architecture magazine Riabita, published by Rima Editrice, he is the editor and director of the magazines Style and Places published by Fiera Milano Editore. The experience gained as a professor in the Master in Design Management at the Polytechnic of Milan allows him to continue as a lecturer in the Faculty of Architecture, Industrial Design course at the Polytechnic of Milan. These positions do not prevent him from continuing to design successful products.
