ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Designed by D.E. Gagliardini, ILUM reinterprets the classic codes a8> of the sofa from a contemporary perspective, relaxed and elegant. Its design blends partly with the structure within the a composition of generous cushions, creating a look that is softer, carefree and cosy.
The collection conveys an immediate sense of comfort thanks to its generous proportions and organic shapes. The balance between clean lines and plush cushions creates a bohemian yet contemporary aesthetic that works equally well in residential spaces and hospitality projects where a warmer, more relaxed atmosphere is desired.
ILUM has been designed as a flexible modular system that can be dismantled, allowing for various configurations and options for seating. The ability to dismantle the armrest-backrest facilitates furthermore the transport and adaptation of the product in contract projects or complex installations.

Design
A contemporary modular system with a relaxed and elegant feel. The visual integration between the frame and the cushions creates a soft and cosy aesthetic.
Comfort
The seat and backrest cushions, combined with the use of down-like microfibres and HR foam infused with soya oil, provide a particularly comfortable and supportive seating experience.
Applications
Ideal for contemporary homes, hotels, suites, lounge areas and hospitality projects where visual comfort and flexible modularity are key.

Materials
1. Structure
Solid wood frame covered with 30 kg/m³ foam. Spring suspension with a 10-year quality guarantee and an inner cover made of siliconised fibre with foam padding.
2. Seat
Seat cushion made from a block of 35 kg/m³ HR foam infused with soya oil. The inner layer features a cotton cover filled with microfibres comprising 60% synthetic down and 40% siliconised polyester fibre.
3. Backrest and cushions
Backrest cushions and decorative cushions with multiple compartments, filled with microfibres comprising 60% synthetic down and 40% siliconised polyester fibre.
4. Base
Leg concealed within solid wood.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Solid wood construction: clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or aggressive chemicals.
Upholstery: for technical fabrics and removable covers, machine wash at 30°C. For natural or special fabrics, professional cleaning is recommended. More details on the following link.
Cushions: turn, hollow out and smooth regularly to maintain the original volume and shape.
Avoid direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight to preserve colours and textures.

Darío Gagliardini
Designer
Dario Gagliardini, born in Milan. PhD in architecture from the Polytechnic University of the same city. Registered architect, a position that allows him to experience some significant projects for the hotel company CIGA and Catterpillar Italia. He is dedicated to designing products and their communication as a visual designer and art director, expanding his contribution to some companies as a design manager. At the same time, as a journalist, he collaborates as a graphic designer and art director with prestigious design and architecture magazines such as Ottagono and all those published by Design Diffusion Edizioni (ddn, Ofx, Design Management, Casa D, etc.).
In addition to being the cultural director of the architecture magazine Riabita, published by Rima Editrice, he is the editor and director of the magazines Style and Places published by Fiera Milano Editore. The experience gained as a professor in the Master in Design Management at the Polytechnic of Milan allows him to continue as a lecturer in the Faculty of Architecture, Industrial Design course at the Polytechnic of Milan. These positions do not prevent him from continuing to design successful products.
