ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Designed by Jorge Pensi, LUKA is a collection conceived to create spaces for the contract sector that are contemporary with a strong architectural character. Its design stems from a clear idea: to develop an iconic piece capable of create visual privacy and comfort within open environments.
The combination of different armrest and backrest heights allows for the creation of more relaxed configurations or versions offering a greater sense of cosiness, making it suitable for lounge and waiting areas as well as collaborative spaces and hospitality environments. This duality makes LUKA a particularly versatile collection within the contemporary contract sector.
Its sleek proportions, elevated structure and balance between straight lines and padded surfaces create an elegant, technical aesthetic, whilst maintaining a recognisable and consistent look across all its versions.

Design
A modular contemporary collection with a strong architectural character, designed to create spaces that are open whilst providing a sense of privacy and visual comfort.
Comfort
The combination of fire-retardant injected polyurethane, a high-resilience (HR) seat and steel spring suspension provides a firm, comfortable and durable seat.
Applications
Particularly suitable for offices, hotels, lounge areas, spaces for collaboration, areas for waiting and projects for contemporary contract work.

Materials
1. Structure
Internal structure formed using a polyurethane injection mould with an iron tube frame, and seat and backrest suspension provided by steel springs. Fire-retardant polyurethane compliant with UNE EN 1021-2:06 / BS 5852:06, with a density of 65 kg/m³. Protective coating of siliconised, foam-coated fibre.
2. Seat
Seat cushion made from high-density, non-deforming HR foam (40 kg/m³) with soya oil. Water-based adhesives free from petroleum-derived solvents.
3. Base
Leg cylindrical metal lacquered epoxy with oven-dried finish. Available version fixed P-98 or swivel base P-100.

The collection allows you to combine different armrest heights from armrests and backrest to create configurations that are more open or arrangements offering greater visual privacy.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Solid wood construction: clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or aggressive chemicals.
Upholstery: for technical fabrics and removable covers, machine wash at 30°C. For natural or special fabrics, professional cleaning is recommended. More details on the following link.
Cushions: turn, hollow out and smooth regularly to maintain the original volume and shape.
Avoid direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight to preserve colours and textures.

Pensi Design Studio
Designer
Jorge Pensi, an Argentine architect and industrial designer, moved to Spain and adopted Spanish nationality, settling in Barcelona. He began his career with the Berenguer Group, collaborating with Alberto Liévore until 1984. In that year, he founded his own studio in Barcelona, specializing in furniture design, lighting, and event setups. His design team includes Diego Slemenson, Constanze Schütz, and Roman Proubasta, with Toni Casares managing the studio.
Pensi has worked with a wide range of companies, including Akaba, Andreu World, B.Lux, Santa & Cole, Cassina, Driade, and Knoll International. His focus is on creating innovative and functional pieces that reflect a modern and timeless aesthetic. With a distinguished career in furniture and lighting design, Pensi has made a distinctive mark in the contemporary design industry.
